Trezor is one of the best cryptocurrency hardware wallets out there.
Actually, it’s the first hardware wallet that cryptocurrency world has seen. Though, its new competitors Ledger Nano S and Keepkey are giving it tough competition but still it’s maintaining its position because of security it offers and crypto investors trust.
Out of all hardware wallets, Ledger Nano S is gathering more acclaim (because of its vast list of supported coins and price tag) but that does not mean Trezor is less popular.
Trezor has a good track record due to which many cryptocurrency investors trust this device to store their cryptographic assets.

Currently, SatoshiLabs two hardware wallets: Trezor One and Model T, are in great demand.
Both wallets let you store multiple cryptocoins at the same time. If you’re a long time HODLer then hardware wallet is must for you.

Basically, a hardware wallet lets you store your Bitcoins and altcoins safely and at the same time lets you make secure transactions.
If you don’t have a hardware wallet then I strongly recommend you to have one, because, as of now, it’s the safest way to keep your cryptographic assets safe and secure.

How many Trezor wallet models are there?
As of now, Trezor has two models: Trezor One and Trezor Model T. Model One is a cost effective solution and as secure as its successor Model T. Trezor Model T is a cryptocurrency hardware wallet with some premium features such as Touchscreen, premium body and look.
How many coins can I store simultaneously?
Before buying, it’s always a wise decision to check which cryptocurrencies does a hardware wallet support.
If your hardware wallet supports multi-coins then you can easily store your other coins (if any) to your existing wallet. If you don’t own other coins then must read this list of top evolving Bitcoin alternative cryptocurrencies; if you’re willing to invest in other coins.
As of now, both models (One and Model T) support more than 1000+ coins and tokens.

And team behind it continuously works to increase its support for new coins.
It’s not clear how many coins at the same time you can store in these devices. But I know some people who say that they’ve stored more than 15 coins in their wallet. I’ve contacted Trezor support team for clarification. I’ll let you know as soon as I get a reply.
For your information, Trezor One does not support XRP, therefore, if you want to cold store XRP AKA Ripple then look for other alternatives such Ledger Nano X.
However, company’s Trezor Model T supports XRP. Company’s dedicated team is working on it so hopefully it (model One) will also support XRP soon.
Company has not made any official announcement yet that whether Trezor One will support XRP in the future or not.
Is Trezor a cold wallet?
Yes, it cold stores your cryptocurrencies. It keeps your private keys in an isolated space. Only you have access to those private keys. Company does not store your private keys to its server or records, actually the manufacturer doesn’t even know what are your seed words.
You can even use your hardware wallet on an infected computer and your private keys will remain be intact.
Does Trezor support ERC20 tokens?
There is more than 65K ERC20 tokens in existence and wallet’s latest firmware version supports ERC20 tokens.
The company has not currently integrated ERC20 tokens in its wallets but users can use third party wallets or services such as MyEtherWallet to store ERC20 tokens.
How will I access my wallets?
You will need to install official Trezor Bridge app to your computer.
This application facilitates communication between your wallet and computer. After setting up the app, you’ll be able to install prominent coins directly by visiting trezor.io/start page.

It’s noticeable that you cannot access all your coins directly from Bridge app. For some coins and tokes such as ERC20 tokens, you will need to use third party wallets.

Here is a complete list of Trezor wallet supported coins. Note: You cannot access all coins directly from Trezor Chrome extension or app. However, all famous coins can be accessed right from the app homepage and for rest you’ll have to install some third-party wallets.
For your knowledge, both Trezor One hardware wallet and Model T support 1000+ coins.
Depending upon the device you’re going to buy storage capacity may increase or decrease.

For your information, all coins supported by Trezor are not directly accessible from its Chrome extension or using its Bridge app.
You may need to use third party wallet apps like MyEtherWallet.

What if you lose Trezor hardware wallet?
In case, you lose your Trezor hardware wallet then you can easily restore your wallets to a new Trezor device using your recovery seed.
If you cannot afford a new Trezor wallet then you can use following software wallets to restore your cryptocurrency wallets:
- ArcBit (IOS)
After installing above mentioned wallets to your machine, you can use your Trezor 24 words recovery seed, that you’ve generated during the Trezor setup process, to recover your coins.

If you’ve invested a significant portion of your earnings in cryptocurrencies then I strongly recommend you to use a hardware wallet to keep your coins safe.
Don’t use online wallet or exchange to store your valuable coins because an exchange can get hacked anytime or in the worst case scenario, your exchange may run away with your coins.
